House Rules

1. Arrivals and Departures:
Check-in starts at 3 pm; check-out ends strictly by 11 am. Any late checkout would incur additional costs. Late check-in is available by default for confirmed bookings. Late self-check-in instruction is available at the hostel main entrance or upon request. 


2. No-Show:
A confirmed booking that is not check-in by 12 pm the next day is considered a no-show (unless the guest has informed Wink specifically about the delayed arrival). 

3. Complimentary Luggage Storage:
You can drop your luggage off with us temporarily before check-in or after check-out. This is a complimentary service for Wink guests and it is available during our reception operating hours only. Wink is not liable for any loss or damage to your belongings during our custody. Overnight luggage storage is available and chargeable at the prevailing rate.

4. Reception Operating Hours:
We operate from 9 am to 8 pm daily. 

5. Identification:
Identification proof such as a passport and identity card or permit is required upon check-in. We need to save the first page of the identification for record purposes.

6. Security Deposit:
An amount of SGD10/night/person, in the form of credit card pre-authorization or actual cash deposit, is required for group of 6 persons or more before check-in. The full/unutilized security deposit would be released or returned upon guest departure. This deposit is used to cover incidentals as below-mentioned:
a. Repair costs due to damage made to the hostel properties.
b. Deep cleaning costs due to improper hygiene practice (i.e. dirty pod/room with excessive rubbish or liquid spillage).

c. Inconvenient costs due to inconsiderate behaviors that cause discomfort/disruption to other guests, despite warnings from Wink staff.

7. Vaccination Status & Quarantine Facility:
We can only accept fully-vaccinated guests unless otherwise exempted as per the current Ministry Of Health's Covid-19 measures. Wink does not have isolation/quarantine facilities. Should the guest is required to be quarantined by law, we will assist the guest to relocate to another hotel/hostel with an isolation/quarantine facility. The relocation cost shall be fully paid by the guest, and the remaining nights at our hostel would not be refunded.

8. Age Restriction:
The guest must be at least 18 years old to stay in our hostel by him/herself. Exceptions are given to families or groups with young children of at least 4 years old, who have booked an entire family or private room that do not share with other unrelated guests. Prior approval and a signed parent consent form are required if the above condition cannot be met. 
The parents or guardians must also be able to ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times. Otherwise, we may exercise our rights to eject such guests from the hostel if their behaviors are deemed inappropriate and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

9. Sharing of Bed:
Sharing of pod or bed is strictly not allowed. We will exercise our rights to eject such guests from Wink properties and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

10. Room or Bed Allocation and Preference:
We reserve the right to reassign or relocate the guest (during his/her stay) to a similar pod or room type if the booked pod(s)/room(s) are unavailable. We reserve the right to grant or deny any special requests (i.e. lower/upper pod, specific pod/room, early check-in/late check-out, etc.) based on current availability and feasibility.

11. Incorrect Bed or Room Type Booked:
It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure the room or bed type they have booked is correct. This is especially so for the shared room. For example, a female shared room is only for the female guest; a male shared room is only for the male guest; a mixed shared room is for both genders. Should there be an incorrect room or bed type booked, we reserve the right to reassign or relocate the guest. Should the reassignment or relocation is not possible, we reserve the right not to check in this booking, and refund up to 50% of the booking value. 


12. Payment:
All monetary transaction is in the Singapore Dollar denomination. Any outstanding charges must be paid fully upon check-in. Without that, we have the right to withhold your travel document or deny you from checking in to our property.

13. Guest Behavior:
It is the responsibility of a guest to ensure that his/her behavior does not detrimentally affect the comfort and safety of other guests and visitors to the hostel. We reserve the right to eject such guests from the hostel if their behaviors are deemed inappropriate and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

14. No-Smoking Policy:
We have a strict no-smoking policy throughout the properties. We reserve the right to eject such guests from Wink's properties for such offense and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

15. No Food and Drink Policy Inside Bedroom: 

We have a strict no-food and no-drink policy in the bedroom. We reserve the right to eject such guests from Wink's properties for such offense and any accommodation charges previously levied will not be refunded.

16. Quiet Time After 10 pm:
The room is meant for sleeping and resting only. All other activities (i.e. talking/video-watching on the phone, chit-chatting, luggage packing/unpacking) should be done outside the bedroom. The bedroom common light should be light-off after 10 pm. 


17. Indemnity:
We regularly organize social and recreational activities for guests. These activities are voluntary and guests who participate in such activities cannot seek any compensation from Wink for all and any injuries, damages, and liabilities. We do not accept liability for the death, sickness, or injury of any guest, or for loss, theft, or damage to any guest's property however caused. It is your responsibility to ensure your belongings are secure at all times.

18. Black List:

To protect the safety of our guests, we keep a list of unwanted visitors that would be denied entry to any of Wink's properties. We sight every booking against this unwanted visitor list. We reserve the full right to deny the check-in of such persons. Any payment made would be refunded (minus the required admin charges).
